Likely Italian 800 silver with gold vermeil overlay centering a hand painted courting scene within a painted enamel decorative border. Interior lid with scroll beveled mirror, base with powder screen and feather puff. Stamped interior lid 800 with swan (possibly imported to France) and other indistinctive hallmark. Approx. 3 x 4 in.
