Carl Thieme (German, founded 1872). A large white glazed porcelain figural monkey sculpture depicting the animal seated atop a white naturalistic tree trunk holding a piece of fruit. Marked to underside with cobalt underglaze maker’s mark used after 1901. Approx. height 16.25in., width 12 in., depth 10.25 in.
