After George Stubbs (British, 1724-1806), Cheetah and Stag with Two Indians, oil on linen, signed lower left R. Bianchi (?). Framed approx. 44.25 x 44.75 in. Note: The original painting by George Stubbs was inspired by an incident that took place in 1764, when a cheetah brought to England from India was pitched against a stag in a hunting demonstration at Windsor. This painting is lacking the stag which would have been seen on the left side of the gesturing man, either cut down or left out intentionally.
