Vintage C.D Peacock 18K white gold ring band. Ring size 9. Hallmarked 18K PEACOCK. Also inscribed on the inside of the ring with initials and a date. Approx. weight 2.1 gram. Note: In 1837, Elijah Peacock opened ChicagoÃs first retail jewelry and watch shop. The store specialized in selling and repairing watches and also carried a small line of jewelry. Throughout the years, the firm expanded its selection of jewelry and by the turn of the twentieth century, it was known as an outlet for Chicago Arts and Crafts style jewelry. It is still one of ChicagoÃs finest jewelers.
