Swiss, late 19th century. A Victorian rosewood with marquetry and string inlay six tune or "airs" cylinder music box. The rectangular hinged lid centered with flowering urn marquetry opening to an interior with hinged glazed lid opening to stationary cylinder, with crank wind lever to the left and with two switch levers to the right (for change/repeat and stop/start). Chromolithograph play card loose in case with the 6 tunes listed. Also labeled WAYMARKS’ DEPOSITORY, TUNBRIDGE, WELLS. Approximate height 5.25 in., width 18 in., depth 8.62 in.
