Chinese famille rose vase enamel decorated with peacock on a scholar’s rock or Taihu rock amidst peony, inscription or poem to the backside. Seal mark for China Jingdezhen on the bottom. Accompanied with hand written note stating that the vase was given as a gift and was made in the town of ‘King Tak’ in the province of Kwang Xi of China. The note goes on to discuss the peacock in the peony tree and the significance. Approx. height 12.37 in.
