Scarce World’s Columbian Exposition hand held fan, 1893. Made in Italy. This same fan was on exhibit from the Peabody Museum, Harvard University. Note that this fan is decorated with the bird’s eye view of buildings of interest: Mason Temple, Mines and Engineering, Fisheries Building, Horticultural Building, Administration Building, The Auditorium, Electrical Building, U.S. Government Building, Machinery Hall, Fine Arts Building, Agricultural Building, and the Grand Canal Northview. Closed approx. 13.25 in.
