Henry Matthew Brock (British, 1875 – 1960), untitled, watercolor on board, depicting a rocky coastal scene. Signed lower right H.M. Brock. Verso with stamp "J. Bryce Smith, 117 Hampstead Road, NW1 LONDON". Framed under glass approx. 19" x 23", unframed 10.5" x 15". Note: Henry Matthew Brock together with his elder brother, Charles Edmund (1870-1938), formed one of the most dominating forces of late nineteenth and early twentieth century illustrative art in Britain. Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours in 1907. This is a somewhat rare subject matter for Henry Matthew Brock.
