Substantial and finely decorated ceramic urn in the manner of Fornasetti, baluster form mounted to the shoulder with elaborate gilt decorated swan handles enclosing the central ribbon tied medallion with depiction of classical figure on hand painted green ground made to resemble malachite and hand painted green borders to body and foot, resting on a gilt decorated square plinth base. Marked to the underside with maker’s mark "Z Italy", underside with additional inscription "L.694/BIS." for Ugo Zaccagnini e Figli, also called Ugo Zaccagnini Factory (Italian, founded 1905). Approx. height 22.5, width 13.5", depth 8.12", base 7" x 7".
