Willem Frederik Reinders (Netherlands, 1881 – 1960), untitled, oil on canvas seascape depicting dunes and shoreline, signed lower left Reinders. Framed approx. 32" x 44", unframed 24" x 36". Note: Willem Frederik Reinders was a house painter, painter and draughtsman of occupation. Willem became a house painter at the Minerva Academie voor Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving Groningen after a short education as a craftsman. He soon returned to the Academy to be trained as an art painter. In 1918, he and his friend Jan Wiegers took the initiative to found the Groningen art association De Ploeg. In addition to solo exhibitions Reinders took part in several group exhibitions of De Ploeg and his work has been included in the collections of several museums.
