Early Valentine's Estate Auction

Warner Brothers, ‘GOAL, LEMIEUX’, 1998 limited edition cel, hand inked and hand painted on a celluloid sheet, #310/350. This Limited Edition Cel began with a Kirk Mueller layout from which Vince Musacchia created a pencil drawing. From this drawing Laurie Dindis created the master inking which was then silk-screened with the Warner Bros. Seal onto an acetate sheet (or "Cel"). Each cel was ink-enhanced by hand before being hand-painted on the reverse side. The background by Hector Martinez was reproduced on acid-free paper using a lithography process. Along with approval from the National Hockey League, each Goal, Lemieux! bears the signature of Mario Lemieux. The edition number was hand-inked on each cel in a special edition size of only 350 pieces. Upon completion of the edition, the original artwork was archived.
