Original 19th century Jailer’s key gun with black powder hole on top. Approx. length 3.25". Note: Jailers’ keys were apparently filled with gun powder to create a primitive gun that could be detonated if there was any trouble when opening a cell door. This type has a hole where the jailer could touch his cigar to the black powder hole on top of the key to discharge the firearm.
