The blade is engraved with two phrases: "The United States, the land of the free and the home of the brave, protected by her noble and brave volunteers." and "Americans ask for nothing but is right and submit to nothing that is wrong."Blade is also marked "JAME" at the base. The handle is varnished wood sandwiching steel, and the blade is stainless steel. The sheath is leather in worn condition, with steel at the base. Measurements: Total length: 15 inches. Blade: 10 inches. Handle: 5 inches.
