Royal Vienna hand painted porcelain portrait plate entitled Ruth, circa 1900. The border with deep cobalt blue ground with gilt encrusted foliate scroll and beaded decor centering an image of the Biblical figure Ruth holding hay. Signed Wagner to the lower right. The backside with title Ruth, Germany, Depose and Bindenschild (bee hive) and gilt flower covering plate manufacturer. Approx. diameter 9.5 in.
Condition: Plate is in very good condition. Does not appear to have seen any usage other than display purposes. There is minor wear to the gold enameling commensurate with age. Price tag of $1800 is still taped to the backside of the plate. All items are sold as-is where-is. With all faults and errors.
