"Jeune Femme et Enfant dans le Foret" , Oil on Canvas. Henri Fantin- LaTour (French, 1836-1904) was a famous French painter best known for his flower paintings and group portraits of Parisian artists and writers. After his first Salon was rejected in 1859, he began exhibiting with his friends Edouard Manet and the future impressionists Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Claude Monet. His painting "Bouquet de Fleurs"sold for 3.5 M in 2000 . This painting depicts a young women and children sitting in a forest. COA Located on back of painting. Signed.
